"Rising Star"

"After hearing songs like 'Bleed', 'Hard Way,' and 'Learning,' it makes me wonder why this band is not signed to a label yet. These 3 songs provide a hearty example of Johnny Isbell's great vocals. I rated this demo 5 out of 5 since it was entertaining, emotional and enjoying." - Gypsy Nicole, Risingstarinc.com, August 2003

Bio

Empty Fall is a mainstream rock band hailing from Birmingham, AL. The band formed in September 2003 and immediately began writing songs and playing the local club circuit. Their relentless performing has already led to quite a substantial following in the Birmingham area, as well as many other cities in Alabama, and an ever increasing interest by both indie and major labels.

Empty Fall consists of Johnny Isbell on vocals and guitar, Flip on lead guitar, Curt Granger on bass guitar, and Chris Macon on drums. The four members of the band bring with them years of experience both on the road and in the studio, as well as an unquenchable thirst for music and performing it to its perfection. Johnny is the primary songwriter of the group and his approach to writing is simple: if it feels good do it. Their songs are very tasteful and have a melodic flow between lyrics and music that keeps the mind's images vivid and the sound fresh and exciting. Johnny takes personal experiences and makes them universal so anyone, man or woman, young or old, can relate to and find solace in them.

The band just released their debut five song self titled EP in November and have already been receiving attention from it. Their song "hard way" claimed the number one spot for two weeks at New Wave Music and was included on the New Wave Music Vol. 2 compilation CD. Empty Fall's EP has already received airplay on both commercial and internet radio stations, as well as being featured on 96.7 the Buzzard in South Carolina and the Unsigned Music Network online. They also showcased at the MEIC in Lexington, KY.

These achievements are not the surprising part; it's the fact that Empty Fall has accomplished so much in such a small amount of time. The response to their music has been tremendous and their fan base increases a little more each day. Empty Fall is well on their way to becoming a major entity in the music industry.
