A band fresh off the garage circuit in Illinois, Empty Lies The Tomb is a short in the arm for those of you that are tired of post-hardcore or metalcore but are still willing to give it a short (and I mean that with the utmost sincerity). This five track attack is brimming with passion and a force that’s beyond what simple labels and name calling can suppress. Vocally, ELTT mix growling and bellowing with pleasing results. Especially when paired with the whip-lashing speed in which the guitarist strikes his chords. Not to mention the surprising solo in Covered In Blood. Lyrically, I’m not a huge fan of religious meanderings, be they derived from Christianity, Islam, Satanism or what have you (unless it’s acknowledged as a myth, i.e., most forms of Paganism, etc…), so no gold is to be found in that department. But don’t let that detour you from this band!
Overall: Empty Lies The Tomb’s talent and passion is undeniable and overwhelming at times… and that should say something seeing as those I don’t rightly agree with the message they’re spreading through their music. Give them a listen if your Christian or merely a metalcore fan. - Typhon

Were going to be one of the biggest names in the music industry in a couple years. All five members of this band believe in one thing, and that is giving all glory and credit for everything we do in our lives to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He is the only reason for this band. We are all five dedicated to this band and to Jesus, God has put the desire in our hearts to want to do this for him, and we all love him very much for that. We have come a long way since February of 2009 when this band formed and we all thank God for keeping this going because we all know that without him this band is nothing. We all are willing to drop everything to go where he wants us to go and we plan on doing just that. We all enjoy being around each other and we most definitely love being on stage in front of people watching them throw down for Jesus. So if you like breakdowns, riffs, and grindcore we hope you will check us out and tell everybody you know about us. We are here to show people that there is love in this dying world, and that we are here to tell them of a savior, that has an everlasting, unconditional love. So far, we have had many shows and a few signed acts we have shared the stage with such as Bury Your Dead, Doctor!Doctor!, Madison Skylights, I Am Terrified, Before There Was Rosalyn, and Onward to Olympas.
