Season four of “The Voice of Poland” came to an end on Saturday, May 24, naming Juan Carlos Cano the winner. This Mexican singer beat the odds and wowed viewers and judges with his own composition “Falling,” during the season finale. The show, which is part of the international syndication “The Voice,” follows the same format of “Blind Auditions,” “Battle Rounds,” “Knockout Rounds” and the “Live Shows.” But how did Juan Carlos end up there? 1. Juan Carlos Cano hails from Chihuahua, Mexico. He is 31 years old.

2. There are different versions of how he got to Poland. Some news reports claim the singer moved to Poland in 2013 to try his luck with music. Other sources claim he moved there in 2006, following a lady who stole his heart, and another outlet says he moved to the European country last year, after he married a Polish woman.

3. Cano entered “The Voice of Poland” through a Facebook friend. His friend knew people on the show who asked her if she knew anyone interested in participating. She posted it on her wall, and Juan Carlos reached out to her. They called the producers and asked if a Mexican could participate. They liked the idea.

4. Although Juan Carlos didn’t have to make the long lines waiting to be seen by producers in the auditions prior to the actual show, he did have to send a few videos. After the show’s executives approved, he went on to the “Blind Auditions.”

5. During the first stage of the competition, Juan Carlos sang “Here I Go Again” by Whitesnake. All the coaches turned their chairs in awe of this rock ‘n’ roll sound with a melodic voice that could go from raspy to soft in a matter of seconds. Marek Piekarczyk, Justyna Steczkowska, Tomson & Baron and Maria Sadowska all wanted Juan Carlos to be part of their team, and eventually he chose Maria Sadowska.

6. In order for his family in Mexico to see him compete, he sent them a link where they could watch the live shows and later vote for him.

7. During the season finale, besides singing his song “Falling,” he also performed Michael Jackson’s “Bad” and AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long,” both as duets with other contestants.

8. After winning the show, Juan Carlos claims he has no interest in continuing as a soloist. He spoke to Universal Music and presented his band Enclose to the executives. VARSOVIA, 24 de mayo.- El mexicano Juan Carlos Cano, originario de Chihuahua, fue el ganador este sábado del concurso de canto La Voz de Polonia.

Cano alcanzó la etapa final con la canción Break on Through de la banda The Doors, y este sábado logró superar a sus rivales con Falling, una composición propia durante la gran final donde se enfrentó a Kasia Sawczuk, quien cantó Outer Space.

Durante la velada, en la que Juan Carlos se llevó los votos del público, también cantó Bad de Michael Jackson y You shook me all night long de AC/DC, ambas en dueto.

Juan Carlos, de 31 años, vive en Polonia a donde se mudó luego de enamorarse de una joven polaca en 2006.

El rockero se había iniciado en la música a los 17 años, y tras emigrar a Polonia comenzó a cantar en bares junto con su la banda Enclose.

El joven entró al reality show cantanto Here I go Again de la banda británica Whitesnake. Su interpretación hizo que los cuatro jueces, durante la audición a ciegas, giraran sus sillas.
