"First Time Around," Encore's debut CD was released in November 2007. It is a collection of the group's favourite gospel and inspiration songs.

In June, 2005, Marni Enns (Soprano), Kirsten Schellenberg (Alto), Doug Pankratz (Tenor) and Kris Kornelsen (Bass) were preparing to go on a tour of Taiwan and Japan with the Winnipeg Singers and decided to give a one-time fundraising concert as the Korpankennsberg Quartet. The four friends had so much fun singing together that they decided to continue. Since then, the quartet, now named Encore, has given many performances in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. They sing all types of music and have received high acclaim for their relaxed, easy performance style and their impeccable tuning and musicianship. Each member of the group is active singing both as choristers and soloists with other notable organizations in Winnipeg such as The Winnipeg Singers, Canzona, and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Encore gives a concert series of their own every season and also enjoys guest appearances with other arts organizations, corporate and private parties and house concerts. Since their first concert, they have appeared as guests for several groups including The Eden Foundation, the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and the Winnipeg Singers. Their vast repertoire includes favourites such as the King's Singers and the Beatles. They also enjoy singing gospel, pop, vocal jazz, and classical music. Encore recently celebrated the release of their debut CD, "First Time Around" with launch parties at the Park Theatre and The Prairie Ink Restaurant at McNally Robinson Booksellers. Recent concerts and performances have included singing with Prairie Voices for The Mennonite Heritage Village Concert, "Christmas with Encore" at the University of Manitoba's Eva Clare Hall and a performance at the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra's gala dinner. Recently, the group was featured on CFAM’s Made in Manitoba series. Looking ahead, Encore is excited as they make plans to perform and promote their CD in Southern Manitoba in fall 2008. In June, Encore is excited to be performing with once again in the Agassiz festival in Winnipeg. For more information, please visit our website at www.encorequartet.ca
