Encourager is a fun, light-hearted group of 5 dandy young gentlemen.
Brought together by the mystical power of Craigslist, we play punk rock music that will move you much like any of the delightful and endearing rom-com classics starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan or Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts or Drew Barrymore and anyone.
Our music influences include Saves the Day, Grandadday, (early) Weezer, and The Get Up Kids. Our personal influences include BINGO games with our grandmothers, animal husbandry, the unstoppable forward march of time, and the growing anti-food movement.
It's fast. It's loud. It's catchy. Sometimes we play the wrong chords or forget to play on the "and" of "4". But our moms said we can play it however we want, and we're taking that to heart.
