Bio

Endymion loved the moon, an impossibility I'd wished I'd learn soon
To love something so beautiful, pure, and full of light
Will leave you sleeping in eternal night
But you have to wake up from a perfect rest
Because to love yourself is an impossibility that seems best
And even though the moon may put you underOnly your own true love can tear it asunderI liked it” Christopher Moore, Author of Lamb and Bloodsucking Fiends

Endymion is the Moon is the solo project of Dan Block, a Chicago native now transplanted in

Asheville, NC. Utilizing a multiinstrumental style and looping one on top of the other, he creates a sound

that has throwbacks to Celtic traditionals, the delta blues, and classic spiritual music. Presented in between

songs are original spoken word poems in a slam style, creating an atmosphere to fit the music and set the

mood for a show.

The projects main focus is about waking up from the life we've been lulled to believe, that only

through others love and approval are we given self validation. As impossible as it is to love yourself, you

are more beautiful than the stars and moon. Though sometimes we feel alone, millions have felt what you

have before, and millions more will. We all have the shared experience of living, each painful and gorgeous

moment. Never forget that, and I hope these songs and poems remind you of that.

I’ve just released my first LP entitled “I’ll Just Leave This Here” and am prepared to get out

there to perform for anyone willing to listen. I’ve gained a small following in Asheville and believe with the

right showcases and venues I can expand that and bring in large crowds. A hard copy of the CD is

available upon request.
