"ANGELS GIG Sands Tavern"

A healthy crowd arrived early to check out the buzz surrounding local rockers Enersha. They weren’t disappointed as they busted out a solid half hour set. Forever and Sweat Bleeds were the sure favorites and most who were there agreed it was there finest gig to date. The blend of old school electric guitar and acoustic guitar set on top of driving drums and smooth rolling bass kept all interested from go to wo.

Next up was Borne (Melbourne) who travelled light for this tour playing as an acoustic two piece. This made for a cool change between acts. There was no denying that Bornes angelic harmonies have helped solidify their reputation down south as a quality outfit. Promoting their latest album Loss of Signal they played most of this tonight with Don’t Go Now and of course Beautiful being real standouts.

By the time the Angels took the stage The Sands was already alive and swelling with anticipation. They casually walked on stage, picked up there instruments, dug there heels in and didn’t come up for air until the encore. Playing classics like No Secrets, Marseilles, We gotta get out of this place, After the Rain and Mr Damage, the crowd moshed with respected admiration for these old time rockers. The guy in front of me must have been enjoying himself too much cause next thing I knew he was being escorted (dragged) out. Always a sign of a good band. At least I could get to the front now. They even managed to throw in a couple of new songs which I daresay will appear on their upcoming album. After the encore The Angels just seemed to disappear into the night and I was left wondering………Am I ever gonna see your faces again? You bet.

Bio

Enersha was born when Dean answered a musicians wanted ad, placed in the local music store by Singer/song Writer Dan. A connection between the two was immediate.

The boys persevered throughout 2 years of lineup changes , until Jon and Brad brought the perfect mix for an exciting and seriously solid rhythym section.

In less than 4 months Enersha landed Brisbane Indie label Bad Bubba records and entered the studio recording their debut album "Faraway Man".

Riding the momentum of their debut album and rapidly growing fanbase, Enersha are beginning to make their mark on the Australian music scene and Abroad!
