Biography

With east Tennessee roots, eNFP is a three-member group of songwriters and musicians who write acoustic, folk-style songs complemented by vocal harmonies and orchestral instrumentation.  Thoughtful lyrics are supported by waves of strings, brass, and vocals to create interesting melodic arrangements and swells of sound.  In addition to our commitment to music, we each respectively hold careers as a doctor, a lawyer, and a university adjunct professor for euphonium and tuba.  We're eager to share our sound with the world, as songwriters and performers.

Lyrics

The World Weeps

Written By: Matt Mullane

Their faces old, drawn out and tired with age…
The flames that once lit their eyes, now coals of tepid rage,
Rage…silent captives in a cage.

Their veins twist from tattered hands into their hearts
Unheard, though beating ever louder with their scars...
Pierce my ears with the sins and fears that are another man’s art.

The world weeps
The truth’s too steep
Secret sins that I can’t keep
My mind’s drifting away...

In this time of selfish acts and senseless pains
When metal shackles shatter, only to be replaced with unseen chains;
Injustice still remains, now in the form of silent games...

The world weeps
The truth’s too steep
Secret sins that I can’t keep
My mind’s drifting away...

So long as these faces cry;
My world still weeps and sighs…
In hope, to understand a tear
Is to help it disappear.

Make it disappear.

The world weeps
The truth’s too steep
Secret sins that I can’t keep
My mind’s drifting away...
