Engines of Commotion

A fusion of 3 experienced bands, the four of us came together to win the 2009 fiddle fest bluegrass band competition. We are the top x-performers from BYU's international touring bluegrass groups, having toured together through Utah, Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Montana, Hungary, Czech, Slovakia, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, and China. At the last Utah state fiddle competition, our guitarist won the 3rd place prize, our banjo player won 1st, our fiddle player has won various 1st place awards, and I won 1st for mandolin. We improvise on traditional tunes, play dance music, perform original compositions, and have never failed to earn an encore at any of our shows. Because of the years of experience together, our repertoire of music consists of over 40 songs and tunes. This allows us to play a high energy show set, or hours of background music depending on the occasion.
