England’s Dreamin’ are the dream team for any past or present punk rock fan. Close your eyes and imagine your ultimate Punk gig line up.
England’s Dreamin’ are in fact five tribute bands rolled into one!
Formed from members of what was at one time the UK’s top Sex Pistols Tribute band, “The Next Pistols” the band also capture perfectly the sound of The Clash, The Buzzcocks, The Ramones, The Undertones and SLF. The modern punk genre is also acknowledged with songs from Rancid and Greenday.
The experience, craft and talent that went into producing such an accurate and successful take on the Pistols has been put to good use in perfecting the sound of the other punk legends.
England’s Dreamin’ stick with the hits so no obscure bands or b-sides. In the high energy set one classic track flows seamlessly into another.
Anarchy in the UK, Holidays in the Sun, Pretty Vacant, God Save the Queen, Bodies, New York, Problems, No Fun and Silly Thing by The Pistols backed up with Should I stay or Should I go, I fought the Law, Safe European Home, Janie Jones by The Clash. Add a dash of Alternative Ulster by Stiff Little Fingers with Ever fallen in love with someone and What do I get by the Buzzcocks, kicked up the arse by Teenage Kicks, The Undertones and driven along by The Ramones with Blitzkrieg Bop and I Wanna be Sedated. It’s Punk heaven!
If that’s not enough there are also songs by Iggy and the Stooges, Greenday and Rancid to stamp your feet to.
