"MP3 Feature: Ennet House - "Daisies""

Art-Rock outfit Ennet House are Chris Passabet and Luke Evans of Port Clinton, Ohio. They create warped and sonically dense soundscapes, rich in texture and underlying melodies. Citing influences as varied as Madvillain and Beethoven, Ennet House’s songs, with an abundance of sound and harmonics, aren’t structured in a traditional brick-upon-brick fashion, it’s more pebble-dashed; there are a lot of individual features that, taken separately, are hard to make sense of, but soon all come together paint a clearer picture.
“Daises” is a cut from their forthcoming LP Little Room, which is to be self-released on August 1st. You can stream and download 6 preview tracks from the album over at their Bandcamp page. - Le Gregoire

Bio

The music of Ennet House has been described by critics as having "an abundance of sound and harmonics," with songs that "aren’t structured in a traditional brick-upon-brick fashion, it’s more pebble-dashed; there are a lot of individual features that, taken separately, are hard to make sense of, but soon all come together paint a clearer picture." Ennet House's debut effort, Little Room, explores uncharted territory in music while also paying homage from everyone from Beethoven to Animal Collective. Ennet House makes music fun again with its infectious melodies, beats, and challenging you to find all the little details of each song.

Little Room refers to the literal location of the album's recording as well as the psychological, claustrophobic, compartment that heartache forces one to retreat into, a theme which the lyrics addresses and a place from which the songs are derived.
