"E-nonymous in my opinion, is no ordinary hip hop artists. One listen to his CD and you will immediately discover where his heart is. I am praying that the industry will take a closer look at this anointed man of God. Keep the lyrics flowing E!!"

Bio

“I was a mess and needed a change in my life…that’s when a good friend from the past came and told me about Jesus the Christ…”

E-Nonymous

Born in the borough of Queens and later moving and living in Elmont, Long Island, music has always played an important part in the life of E-Nonymous (nee Erick Catalan). By the age of 13, Erick was “freestyling” from the local park to rapping over records in a friend’s garage: “I remember writing rhymes over records and turntables in my bedroom”, recalls E-Nonymous of his “B.C.” (Before Christ) rap days. Those days would result in him producing instrumentals and recording his own songs not long after with his own recording equipment. By 19, with hundreds of tracks and numerous albums produced, Erick found himself performing at clubs and promoting himself in every way to make money and receive the fame that his favorite rappers themselves received. However, a series of events would change his life forever.

In October 2002, Erick became a father, putting his whole life in a new perspective: “The birth of Dominick was a wake up call for me,” says Erick, “I knew that there was no more playing around. I had to represent as a father and love my son.” Erick made the decision to change his direction. It was in that period of transition that Erick was introduced to Jesus Christ: “I was a mess and knew I needed a change in my life. That’s when a good friend of mine from the past came and told me about Jesus Christ. I knew who He was by name and by the pictures of Him on the cross, but I didn’t know Him as personal Lord, savior, and friend.” Like a light turning on in a dark room – a “vision in the dark” to some - Erick realized that Jesus Christ was the only decision.

As a result of his decision, Erick gave up everything, even his music. God had a much greater assignment for Erick: “I gave up music and in that time, He poured His vision into me on how I was going to use music to win souls for His Kingdom.” His vision is clear: to bring all people from all races together in unity and the knowledge of God so that they may acknowledge Him as their Father: “I’ve learned that the reason why most people can’t relate to God because they don’t know that He loves them as a son.” Erick is on a mission to teach people that God’s Word is true and that he’s a living example of both the goodness and the power of God: “I’m committed to His Word and His Work,” says Erick, “and I know that because I am, in everything I do, it will give Him glory.”
