ENTH DEGREE STORY

Enth Degree is a Dubstep | High Energy Acoustic ensemble comprised of brothers Aaron and Levi Vanderaa.

Descendants of Rock ‘n’ Roll, classically trained, this artist produces a dubstep cross over that has left a serious cult following in its wake.

At the ages of 21 and 20 respectively, the brothers have already played alongside some of the biggest names in Australian music.

Previous festivals include Mission Evolve Festival, Darwin Blues Festival and Bass In The Grass 2007 & 2009, performing among the likes of The Living End, The Cat Empire, Bliss N Eso, Sneaky Sound System, Jet, Eskimo Joe and Hilltop Hoods.

Every artist is on the continual search for a hook. Aaron and Levi have the unfair advantage of being born with one – a natural creativity and unforgettable stage presence that comes with being the sons of internationally renown designer Cee Sparét, founder of the Orgasm fashion label.

The white hot stage presence of the two striking silhouettes in cutting edge rock couture, hammering out live drums and acoustic guitar over grinding Skrillex-influenced dub, captivates the audience in a way that no other Australian band has before them.

Aaron and Levi encapsulate the very essence of a rockstar.
From their trademark locks, right down to their custom designed leather jeans, Enth Degree turn heads before they even pick up an instrument.

And when they do, their music conveys their contagious energy, charisma and a toxic sex appeal that draws serious attention.

On stage, smiling eyes burn into the crowd as if they already know every single person’s deepest darkest secret. Their lust for music lures unsuspecting followers like the pied piper and leaves them with a fully-fledged addiction to Enth Degree.

Seasoned musicians, Aaron and Levi have been performing since the age of 10 – continually learning, busking, writing, gigging and teaching over the last decade – music has quite literally been a way of life of the Darwin brothers.
Enth Degree is now on their second national tour and will release their debut EP in late 2012.

ENTH DEGREE SOUND

Fans are fascinated, entertained and ultimately captivated by the sensory overload that is the Enth Degree show.

Thanks to an insane collection of vinyls throughout their upbringing, Enth Degree’s appreciation for music is a little less than typical, and so are the artists who have influenced their sound.

As connoisseurs of classic metal, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, AC/DC and Pantera have been huge influences on Aaron and Levi.

But their inspiration to continually develop as musicians comes from evolutionary artists such as Jojo Mayer, Buddy Rich and Nicolo Paganini, the technical precision of Steve Vai and otherworldly musicianship of Dream Theatre and Queen.

From the current era, Aaron and Levi cite trailblazer Skrillex as a major influence, as well as acoustic artists such as Jack Johnson.

Take their word for it:
‘Their music could be likened to a sonic boom in the next town rattling an unsuspecting hornet’s nest that was built on a giant slinkey. Yes, that’s right. It’s got balls… You’re not snorting kryptonite, that sound you can hear is the future of Australian music, legends in the making’. [ Shadowbox ]

‘Amazing vocals – drumming – guitar playing and blending electronica with raw rock sounds gives them an edge above many acts I've seen around the traps’. [ Gus Fernandez | Entertainment Manager | The Union Jack ]

'the boys have a huge future ahead of them...no doubt I'll be hearing them on Triple J soon [Gus Fernandez | Entertainment Manager | The Union Jack]

'you guys are going to be massive'. [Kyle Sandilands | Australian Radio & TV Personality]
