"Billboard Charting Artist Envy Releases New Single 'Go Head'"

Hip Hop and R&B artist Envy has been heard on both the small and big screens and has now released a new single, "Go Head" from his Songs About Girls Album. The single is full of Envy's trademark whip smart lyrics and catchy hook, like last summer's release, "#MCM (Man Crush Monday)," and is now available for purchase on all digital outlets, including Apple iTunes.

Envy's music has been featured in several high-profile Hollywood projects, including Netflix's "Orange is the New Black," "Keeping up with the Kardashians," and "Mob Wives," and films "Harold and Kumar," "Piranha 3D," "Ride Along," to name a few. With his single "Ringtone," Envy charted on Billboard for 16 straight weeks, holding the #1 position for six weeks. With each new single he releases, Envy explores new musical territory, an approach he began at the age of 17 when he first started taking his songwriting seriously. He's excited to present "Go Head," which he imagines as the perfect anthem for the summer. "My new track is about women that I have a connection with, and the dance to see who will make the first move. I see it as a sexy and fun track," says Envy.

In November 2014, Envy teamed up with fellow musician Fancy to present a re-imagined version of the 1998 Mariah Carey song "Breakdown." Envy has three studio albums to his name including The Pulse, Upper Echelon, and EOE (Evolution of Envy). He expects his next album to drop late this summer. His newest release shows that he's following the proud tradition of Minneapolis musicians such as Prince, with smart lyrics and irresistible chords, while carving out his own way.

Bio

From live bands to synthesized club music, the Midwest’s music identity spans from pop to soul, country to jazz, rock to Hip Hop. In Minnesota specifically, legendary musicians like Prince and the band Mint Condition branded the state internationally through years of quality music.

Envy is poised to bring even more positive attention to the Minneapolis sound with his own brand of radio-friendly Hip Hop. In 2008 After debuting at 3 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart, and hitting 1 on the Hip Hop/R&B Single Sales chart, Envy’s single “Ringtone” enjoyed an impressive six-week run on the Hot Single Sales charts, hitting 16 in early June 2008.

Envy began his rap career very early in life. His older sister taught him how to put the words together, and compliments came from every direction as the budding MC honed his skills. Sadly, Envy’s sister passed away when he was just 17, which gave him even more reason to take the music seriously.

Since charting #1 on Billboard and #6 on Radiowave with his 2011 smash single "Stagga Dance" Envy has gone on to released 3 studio albums including The Pulse, Upper Echelon and EOE (Evolution Of Envy). Currently in the studio working on new material for the upcoming year, Envy’s most recent release of his controversial mixtape 'Hidden Agenda’ went global through all major online digital outlets including livemixtapes.com with the lead single "Thotiana".

Over the last several years, Envy has placed his music on top TV shows, Reality series and major movie soundtracks padding his resume with hit songs and becoming a dominant force in the publishing game. Now in 2015 with his lengthy publishing resume and his polished artistry, Envy is determined to set the industry on fire!!!
