Epikker

I’ll finish up this quick catch up round up of EDM jams I had lined up since late last week with some energizing electro house. In The Air, featuring vocals by A. Rose, is the debut track from Los Angeles newcomers Epikker. It’s another fantastic throwback track, as the duo crafted a banging cover of the Phil Collin’s classic. Ah, Phil Collins, I loved his music back in the day, too. The melody of the original is still so swooning on Epikker’s version, but it’s paired with such thrilling Justice like production, with a hint of progressive blasting through. In fact, I can totally envision this getting a dope mashup with Civilization or many other Justice tracks. - I Heart Moosiq

It’s not everyday that Epikker drops a new remix which is why Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere their latest, a take on A$AP Rocky‘s “Everyday.” Henry Strange, one half of Epikker, is currently on tour with A$AP Rocky as his sound engineer hence the remix. Although the remix is mostly centered around Rod Stewart‘s vocals from “In a Broken Dream” which Rocky samples, the track moves from an indie hip hop vibe similar to more bombastic electro production. It sounds like Ratatat and Daft Punk have joined up for a dream collabo. - Surviving The Golden Age
