The best kept secret in music
Press
Keeping it live on the underground vibe is EPE Entertainment recording artists Epitome. Hailing from New Jersey, the duo comprised of Maza and Ced have been keeping it hot with their maxi single release No Support. Despite the album’s title, the duo has been receiving nothing but support from local colleges and Internet radio stations along the East Coast. Formed in the mid 90’s, Epitome quickly developed their own niche and style with their music, which they define as being "Bridge Rap.” Epitome stays on the grind gracing stages such as New Jersey’s Cross Roads Theatre, Jimmy’s Uptown Café, and Arkansas’ Harding University. Maza (one half of the duo) stated, "It’s all about averages. Ced and I stay on our grind." Internet heads can also check out Epitome’s music on musicsnippets.com, and Sirius satellite radio’s "Sirius Hip-Hop Nation" show. For those who really like what they hear, they can purchase the duo’s maxi single at Cdbaby.com/Epitomeent. As far as the music goes, EPE is bangin’! Dope lyrics and delectable beats make this maxi single a hot treat. The title track "No Support" gets my stamp of approval, kickin’ the real to gold diggin’ groupie girls sleeping on brother’s dreams. "Peacemaker" one of their more political tracks, attracted so much attention that it was used as a feature track during the protest of the 2004 GOP convention. These brothers gon’ work it out.

Bio
With hip-hop in dire need of a new soul, Ced Tha Arch Bishop & Maza The Messenger have unearthed a catalogue of music baring theirs, enter Epitome.
Formed in the late 90s, Epitome has defined their style of music as being bridge rap. The duo has always knack creating music that sparks the interest of otherwise disinterested patrons. This ability to connect with listeners in all markets has led to Epitome often being the lone hip-hop feature in several venues and publications. The program directors at New Yorks WBAI radio station were so moved by Epitomes Peacemaker that it wound up being the featured song of protest during the 2004 GOP convention. Humbled by praise, Epitome remains focused on the execution of their craft.
Having performed along side hip-hops brightest wordsmiths, Epitome has graced the stage in venues that include New Brunswick, New Jerseys Legendary Cross Roads Theatre, Jimmys Uptown Cafe, and Arkansas Harding University. Often performing in front of mixed crowds, Epitomes Maza has even performed a portion of their set in his native tongue of Creole. This level of intensity combined with an unrelenting work ethic has landed Epitome on musicsnippet.com, several spots in CMJs new music weekly hip-hop charts, and Sirius Satellite Radios Sirius Hip-Hop Nation show (receiving a staggering 50 spins in under a month).
Its all about averages, says the twenty something Maza. Ced and I stay on our grind
That very same grind, along with moving 2000 plus copies of their 2002 project Fight Club, led to the inevitable founding of EPE Entertainment, the duos own label. Anchored by the Cedrics experience in radio & street promotion and undeniable in house production, (provided by Maza) Epitome repeatedly puts their money where their mouth is by personally funding each individual release. The purpose of EPE Entertainment is to provide us with a vehicle to release and control music we create, says Cedric who emphatically states that his initial intentions were never to start a record label.
