Within four years, Equse released three albums and performed more than 100 shows all over the province of Quebec, opening for well-respected artists such as Half Moon Run and Marie-Pierre Arthur. Their first appearance at « Festival d’été de Québec » was even sold out. Throughout this lively beginning, the band has found its very unique sound and developed a powerful synergy on stage. Equse sits in a place where frenetic beats, soaring atmospheres and vocal harmonies blend together smoothly. Well at ease with indie pop canvas, the four musicians often draws from progressive rock, dub and electronica.
After Earthquake Under Subtle Elements (2013) and EQUSE (2014), they recently came up with Like a Whisper (2015), their most achieved work yet. Equse founding members are Jean-Raphaël Côté (vocal, guitars, synths), Gabriel Turcotte (drum, vocal) and Alexandre Robichaud (bass, synths, trumpet, vocal). The band can now rely on multi-instrumentalist Antoine Létourneau-Berger (guitars, synths, percussions) to enhance on-stage possibilities and widen its sound palette.Band Members
