"Review of ER's Performance at Camp Fircroft"

"Over the years I have run Camp Fircroft, I have had speakers, worship teams and bands that impacted the audience by interacting with them, but never to the degree of ER. Their music and energy is matched by their humble and godly attitudes, and their sincere care for those who will hear them. They took time to get to know our campers and staff, and encourage many young people to use their talents for God...I have a policy of not wanting a band two years in a row, but I’ll throw out that policy whenever I can have ER back.I would welcome the opportunity to talk to you personally, if you have questions about hiring ER."

Sincerely, and with great appreciation,

Rev. Andy Taylor

"Lead Guitarist for Elliot On ER"

“What you'll find from ER is more than just creativity in music, here you'll see youthful, fun guys, who have abandoned hearts after God and a true desire to see change in people. I've had the opportunity to observe them on stage and off. They are consistent, genuine, and dedicated to building God's purposes. In an industry saturated with big egos and big heads, here you'll find BIG hearts. All the best for ER!”

-Casey Parnell (Lead Guitarist for Elliot) - Casey Parnell

"Youthful Spirits"

The Prineville-based trio ER doesn’t just want to make music for you to listen to. They “want to take you on a quest of discovery, along a path that explores the deep questions in life but doesn’t shy away from laughing out loud, a trail that ultimately brings about an awakening to the things in life that matter most.” according to their promotional materials. So, yeah… ambitious! Lets start with the music though: ER comprises three young men – brothers Preston and Anthony Carmack plus Nathan Henry – who make grand alt-pop—rock music in the vein of Coldplay, U2, Switchfoot and the like. We’re talking sweeping piano lines, chunky guitar riffs, heart-on-sleeve vocals, and a clear focus on the guys’ apparently strong Christian faith. All those things are all over ER’s new album “The Risk of Tragedy”, a ten song set that clearly reflects the band’s wide eyed vision and warm spirit. Preston Carmack describes it thusly: “Lyrically, we’ve tried to weave together a tapestry in ‘The Risk of Tragedy’ that faces the tragedies of every day head on and in the end comes out of the storms to see the sunshine.” - The Bulletin

Bio

Hi my name is Preston Carmack, I play keyboard and sing in a rock band called ER. ER is made up of three guys; my best friend Nathan Henry plays guitars, my little brother Anthony Carmack is on drums, and me. Together the three of us make up a band that wants to do more than just simply give you music to listen to. We want to take you on a quest of discovery, along a path that explores the deep questions in life but doesn’t shy away from laughing out loud, a trail that ultimately leaves us at the feet of our Creator. If you’re the type that lies awake in bed at night wondering, why am I here? If you’re the type who’s afraid to be real. If you’re the type who thinks that you’ve got it all together. Or if your like me and you’ve thought all three at some point, I dare you to lend us your ears and together we will take a journey…
