Born and raised in Southern California, singer/songwriter Erica O’Young grew up with a dream of making music for others. As an artist, Erica’s unique intermingling of musical influences - from her family’s Asian heritage, to her lifelong passion for hip hop and R&B, to her classical training in piano and violin - brings a distinctive style to her music that is extremely urban, untapped, and distinctive.

A passionate songwriter and vocalist, O'Young's self-written music reveals a deep and genuine passion, with a vocal delivery that is rare - heartfelt, strong and soulful.

Erica has worked with some of the best up-and-coming producers in the music industry, including Mark Goff of MTV’s “Making of the Band” for 2002’s "Ephatik," and currently, Epicenter Media (6th Day, 888 Records). She is also currently working with renowned hip hop choreographer Ronnie Reddick (Janet Jackson). Known for her passionate, dynamic performances and high energy dance choreography, Erica has shared the stage with superstars such as overseas’ pop sensation Emil Chou and "American Idol's" Kimberley Locke.
