Biography

Born in Miami in September of 1984, saxophonist, composer, and producer Eric Falcon began his musical training at age 10. When it came to attend high school Eric was accepted to the prestigious New World School of the Arts in Miami. While at New World Eric has the honor of playing in its award winning Big Band, Jazz Combo One, and the Wind Ensemble. Eric’s years at NWSA would prove to be a time of great musical development. Taking advantage of the available resources Eric began to further his knowledge of composition, performance, and studio recording. In his years at NWSA Eric had the opportunity to perform in Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the International Association for Jazz Education’s annual Conference. After high school Eric made his way to the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, a school with a long history of producing some music’s best saxophonists. Majoring in Media Writing and Commercial Music Production Eric plans to graduate in the spring of 2008.
As a performer Eric has had the opportunity to share the stage with many great musicians including Wynton Marsalis, Ed Calle, Paquito D’Rivera, Generoso Jimenez, Arturo Sandoval, Duffy Jackson, Terell Stafford, Nestor Torres, Jon Secada, Cachao, Kevin Mahogany, Gary Campbell, and Nicky Orta.
As a producer and engineer Eric has had the chance to work with many great musicians and recently produced a few songs for EMI Televisa’s release “Universidad Navidena”.
Eric is available for a large variety of services including performing in a large number of styles, composing and arranging for all styles and media, as recording engineer, and as well as a producer. As a solo artist Eric is currently working with a talented group of musicians including Rodrigo Gallardo on trumpet, Albert Bade on drums, Rick Louie on piano, and Michael Feinberg on bass.
