Bio

Eric Holmgren Biography
A Series of “Firsts’ Mark His Career

Eric Holmgren was born in Massachusetts in 1984. Eric picked up his first guitar at age 6 and has been playing ever since, performing his first show at age 14.

At 17, Eric started his first band, a rock and roll show that lasted 4 years. During that time, Eric worked the typical day job to pay for his “toys”. At one job, his boss played Country music all shift long.

Eric was not a big fan of Country at that time, but like all good musicians with open minds, Country grew in his heart and he started learning covers and writing originals.

He played locally and eventually got gigs around Massachusetts as he developed his craft and a solid following in his home state.

In 2008, Eric took a leap of faith and, never having visited Nashville, moved to town and began to make the rounds. He has played The Nashville Palace, Douglas Corner, the famous Anchor High Marina in Hendersonville, The Listening Room, and even a Hooters!

He continued to tour his home state periodically and released his first Country album, Broken Road, in December 2008 in Nashville. That is quite a history for someone so young, but Eric was just getting started.

In June 2009, he formed his first Nashville band, shot footage for music videos, and was signed to his first management deal, all within one month! The process of signing a booking contract to tour East of the Mississippi is well underway and he will start his second album in 2010, in time for a Spring tour.

Inquiries for bookings can be made via Jim Rorie Management at platinumsongman@yahoo.com or by calling 615-562-0247 between the hours of 11 AM and 6 PM CDT.

Eric is a crowd-pleaser and even in clubs and other venues that don’t have a “quiet during performance” rule, Eric manages to stop conversations while he plays. The thunderous applause he receives, as well as the brisk sale of his album following each show, is testament to how his music connects with people on so many levels.

Check Eric Holmgren out for yourself and ask your favorite club to bring him to town for a show you will never forget. You can hear Eric’s music at: www.ericholmgren.com or at www.myspace.com/ericholmgren.
