"Sounds like teen spirit"

Reminiscent of the cozy, mountain-house feel of the Higher Grounds coffee house, Eric Kim has shocked listeners with his raw, organic talent. On stage with nothing but an acoustic guitar, microphone, and a friend to sing harmony or play the fiddle, Eric has entranced his audiences with his calming, tranquil songs about everyday past experiences.

He says that he has been in the studio for quite some time working on his new record debuting this summer, "Elevator Music," a blend of folk and feeling that is sure to leave listeners speechless.

Once the record is out, Eric plans on booking gigs and touring the area.

Bio

16-year-old singer-songwriter Eric Kim made his debut with "Elevator Music" -- an organic blend of catchy pop melodies and folk-inspired lyrics -- in October 2007, catering to a growing fan base at his high school in Duluth, Georgia. The 7-track EP opens with the popular "I Watch You Rain," moves to the rootsy, train-like hit "Georgia I'll Take You In," and closes with the vulnerable "Man I'll Never Be," which hit number one on the SoundClick Acoustic Guitar Charts in January. Layered with poignant cello arrangements on a bed of acoustic guitars, "Elevator Music" intimately captures the heart of a promising songwriter.
