Is 'Made In China' Worth The Risk This Year?

Although not necessarily a consumer revolt, many families are opting out of children's gifts that carry the "Made In China" brand for this holiday season. A US Retailer has offered a novel idea.

Blue Anchor, NJ (PRWEB) November 21, 2007 -- Although not necessarily a consumer revolt, many families are opting out of children's gifts that carry the "Made In China" brand for this holiday season. News accounts of toy recalls, lead paint and other hazards have led some of the largest retailers like Wal-Mart, to pull items from it's shelves. Some websites and blogs have even posted listings of toys and gifts not made in China.

In response to consumer concerns, several US businesses are actively offering gift ideas as alternatives to foreign brands this holiday season.

Not only is this a great stocking stuffer for the holiday, proceeds of sales will go into the Angel Foundation, which benefits children.
One retailer has come up with a novel idea. Annabelle Records has released what is described as one of the safest holiday gifts for children ...music.

A CD entitled "An Angel Of My Own," written by E. Rick Rinalidi and performed by vocalist Renee Parisi, has been released as a holiday gift with children in mind.

Composer E. Rick Rinaldi says, "It is one thing to write a song, it is something entirely different to deliver it with the flair, passion, and intent of the composer. I wanted to release this beautiful song and I think it is a "must have" for children and expecting families this season."

Rinaldi also explains, "Not only is this a great stocking stuffer for the holiday, proceeds of sales will go into the Angel Foundation, which benefits children."

More details of this offering and a sampling of the recording are available at http://www.anangelofmyown.com may be a great alternative to foreign brands and one that actually lasts from year to year.

Bio

E RICK RINALDI
COMPOSER – MUSICIAN – RECORDING ARTIST

E Rick Rinaldi has made a career of putting himself out there emotionally for the world to see. Fans are drawn by his uncanny ability to bring a tidal surge of passion into every note he composes, and every lyric he writes. He is a master at capturing the imagination with music composition born of the soul; he blends and weaves instruments together in a manner unlike all others before him. His music is captivating, rhythmic, clean, and moving. Every piece he composes is deeply rooted, and passionately performed.

From his childhood home in South Philadelphia, Rick would watch while his sisters took piano lessons, and then he would practice while no one was around, often thinking that his fingers were more suited to that of a brick layer. But at a young age he sensed he could write a compelling melody, and maintained a piano practice schedule for years, and later mastered the guitar using that same sort of practice discipline. When Rick felt he was finally coming into his own as a musician and songwriter, a turn of events sent him on another course and he temporarily had to set aside his life as a musician, but continued to compose.

December 2006, Rick’s CD, “This Time” was released. It is a collection of sultry and romantic original compositions, performed solely by this unique entertainer playing nine keyboards. E Rick Rinaldi gained industry recognition as follows:
*2007 Indie Compilation for Life Contemporary Music Award Winner -“Willow Fields”
*2007 All States All Stars Compilation CD Music Award Winner -“Saving Baghdad”
*2007 Featured Artist in the “Music For Troops” effort for “Saving Baghdad”

April 2008 Release of the CD “Where Rivers Run”. This CD was manufactured using mostly recycled materials and recycled board as Anabelle Records goes “Green”

April 2008 began the “Where Rivers Run” concert tour, a theatrical-like performance of a classical rock symphonic genre, supported by riveting visual effects that touch your every sense. E Rick Rinaldi and five highly skilled musicians and vocalists produce the sound of a full orchestra with a delivery that climbs deep into the heart, and will not let go. “Where Rivers Run” introduces a vocal version of “Saving Baghdad”, honoring the men and women who continue to fight for our freedom and safety, including his own son who has been deployed to the Middle East six times since September 11, 2001. This performance will have the audience smiling, crying, and on their feet.
