Bio

Born and raised in Calgary AB, Canada, Erickson's passion for music is what makes him stand out the most. In a day and age where music artists seem to be sprouting out of the earth at an alarming rate, Erickson manages to find a way to differentiate himself from the pack.

A singer / songwriter, Erickson dropped everything and flew out to Toronto.

After a four month stint in the metropolis, he returned to Calgary with a whole new perspective and respect of the industry, and music itself. As a solo artist, he is beginning to gain more recognition in Calgary's local scene.

In the past 3 months, he has performed live on City TV's Breakfast television twice, performed live on local radio station California 103's "Live in Studio" radio show, played for Breast Cancer Awareness, and has played numerous sets all around the city. His song "This City" has also been awarded radio play on local stations The Fuel 90.3 and California 103.

In August 2007, Erickson worked with sound engineer/producer Grant Howarth at Outhouse studios to produce his first studio EP titled "Singled Out". The EP, which consists of 8 stripped down songs, is completely written and composed by Erickson.

Erickson brings passion and energy to all his shows, be it intimate, 50 people capacity venues, or large auditoriums. His honest, sometimes tongue in cheek lyrics and first hand stories of life and love are easy to relate to a diverse age group. His music demands more recognition as not only a skilled vocalist and guitarist, but also as a talented song writer and composer.
