Eric Paul is from a small town in Illinois with rural surroundings. A simple way of life far enough away from the big city has inspired many songs about relationships, life experiences, and personal beliefs. His music is described as melodic folk with an occasional pop rock twist that strives to be original in its delivery, but memorable upon its departure. His classical training gives him a unique insight into the creative process of even the most difficult music, yet he is able to effortlessly crossover into popular music.
His influences range from classical to Simon & Garfunkel to Weezer. People often wonder why each song is so different from one another. The answer is simple: why constrain yourself to one style? A good song is a good song.
