"Eric Reitz displays talent on new Album"

Pennsylvania singer/songwriter Eric Reitz recently released his second album “Sinister Love.” The album begins with the up-tempo, pop-rock of “Everybody’s Dressing Up” and “Sinister Love,” before Eric dives into the blues on “Two Shots.” He as a slight roughness to his voice that makes his vocals sound very mature and weathered. The album reaches its pinnacle with the album’s first single “City Lights” as he masterfully combines the music and the melody of the song. The album closes with the acoustic, heartfelt ballad “Breaking.” - JP's Music Blog

"A Pseudo Interview with Eric Reitz"

"Eric sings... like... I don't want to say an angel, because that might throw off his manliness factor, but he does. He has the voice of angel" - Boy Meets Music

"Eric Reitz"

Here comes another album from a talented singer/songwriter. This time it is Eric Reitz from Reading, PA.

I always say that to make it as a singer/songwriter you must have two things, a good voice and good songs. Fortunately Mr Reitz have those two things.

The first song out, "Cumberland" sets the tone and it is a nice mid-tempo acoustic based song. Reitz sings great and his voice sounds a little bit like Joshua James sometimes, and that is never a bad thing in my book! Overall the quality of the songs is high and it does not sound like this is an independent release.

Third song, "Carolina" is the song that sticks in my head. It is a simply great song, with a nice sound a great chorus. Other good songs are "Throwaway", "Dublin" and "Cumberland". The last songs, "Lunar Lonely" also deserves a mention. There are some songs that are not as good as the rest of them, but as said, overall this is a good album.

Eric Reitz is a very talented artist and I am looking forward following him in the future. But for now "12 (South)" is a great introduction from a promising artist! - Melodic.Net

Bio

Equal parts wandering poet and live performance mainstay, Eric Reitz delves into folk, rock, and pop to couch his purpose-driven lyrics.

Eric Reitz hails from Reading, Pennsylvania, a paradoxical place; though a suburb of Philadelphia, it neighbors Lancaster County—Amish country. Culture clash is inevitable. Eric wearily studied piano as a boy, but he longed for the guitar: its shape, its allure, its legacy. Alas, Eric's parents prevented him from pursuing guitar until he had learned "The Entertainer" on keys. Even this he couldn’t manage. Yet somehow Eric convinced his parents to rent him a guitar, an axe pulled from the pages of a heavy metal magazine. Not quite the tool he’d seen in the hands of idols like Bob Dylan and Van Morrison. Eric soon returned that ol’ lightning bolt to the rental shop. The musical muse had been quieted.

A few years older, wiser, and more motivated, Eric picked up his older brother's acoustic guitar and taught himself chords and progressions. Wholly intrigued, Eric then bought his own acoustic. He also discovered an insistent but unpolished urge to sing. He’d imitate popular songs, a tentative first step toward vocal training. Now years removed from that mimicry, Eric has developed his own peerless voice and delivery. Alongside an unquenchable songwriting thirst that’s seeped into his debut album, 12 (South).
