Music
The best kept secret in music
Press
If an album could be a type of party, this one would be a boisterous pirate
party at sea. The sound is raw and wild. The songs beckon you to join the
revelry with singing and dancing. Swanson's gravely voice roars like a lion and his driving acoustic guitar is its perfect companion. And, the
rowdiness has heart as songs such as "Silent and Violent" and "New Orleans" lament the dark side of life. With this first release, Swanson's unaffected
acoustic-core style is sure to win many fans. Check it out. -

Bio
Eric Swanson believes that acoustic guitar strings
are made to be broken. He feels that acousic guitar doesnt belong to folk singers, childrens musicians or dirty hippies at college parties. It belongs to the people. This is not your mothers acoustic artist - or your three-year-old brothers either. Eric is the blow portion of the dynamic Hes the blow, Im the beer duo with Grape Juices own Jai Henry. Born in Minneapolis, hes done time in Sioux Falls, South Dakota playing in various bands and drinking various alcohols. He has been loosing his voice and breaking his strings on the stages of Minneapolis for the last five years. He has played at the 7th street entry, the Cabooze and the Terminal with the likes of Jai Henry, Linus and Big Quarters just to name a few. Eric Swanson has one message for you: The time is now - lets make acoustic music a threat again!
