Coming from a family of musical diversity shaped the music of Eric Woods. At an early age, the music in the Woods household could range from Etta James, Dr. Hook, Led Zeppelin, John Prine, Prince, or anything in between. This extreme variety presents itself today, not only in the covers that Eric Woods plays, but also in his original songs. The country tinged "Time and Gasoline" takes listeners on a journey through the dirt roads of Mississippi, while "Somewhere" is a rocker that longs to take the listener away from them. Armed with just a guitar and his voice, Eric Woods aims to prove that it doesn't take a wall of sound to captivate an audience. The beauty of his music is found in its simplicity, and he is ready to win over south Mississippi one stage at a time.
