In the spring of 2006 Erin Hansen will be releasing her first album, which is an introduction to her style, her sound, her soul.
Erin’s songwriting began over ten years ago in Seattle. Prior to 1994, she spent many years in a career that, to say the very least, compromised her spirit. She began to write poems, as a way out, and a way in. With time the lyrics to her poems transformed into visions of the future and reflections of her story untold.
For more than eleven years she has been writing music and lyrics, as well as playing both of her instruments, voice and guitar.
Her music is Solfok, an original style of Folk, with a realistic and raw texture.
The lyrics she writes are honest and from the soul. They are a connection to the divine, and to all beings, with instrumental melodies that are dreamlike and everlasting.
