Erin Martin

BandChristianPop

Guitar-driven pop/rock music with an encouraging Christian message.

Biography

Erin was born and raised in the great state of West Virginia to a large and musical family. She discovered at an early age her love of singing and writing music. Throughout her high school years, Erin was a member of the worship band at her church, and it was this experience that would prepare her for God’s plan for her future. After high school, Erin attended and graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music. After graduation, Erin started attending BrookRidge Community Church in Haverhill, Massachusetts and immediately felt right at home. Within a few months, Erin became a part of the music ministry. She is now the full-time Worship Leader at BrookRidge where she was inspired to write many of the songs on her first album, Lead Me to the Rock. Along with her husband and collaborator, Andrew Martin, Erin has merged a contemporary and relevant spiritual message with a deep and broad mix of musical styles. Erin continues to write music for worship and hopes that this new album brings hope and encouragement to all who hear it.

Lyrics

Lead Me To The Rock

Written By: Words by Erin Martin, Music by Erin & Andrew Martin

Verse 1:
From the ends of the earth I call out to You
Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I
For You are the mighty tower I can stand behind
Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I

Verse 2:
With my knees to the earth I’m crawling to You
Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I
For You are the flowing fountain and the bread of life
Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I

Chorus:
Lead me to the one who brings the promise of life
Take me to the River let me drown in its might
The holy blood of love come down and crucified
Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I

Verse 3:
With my hands lifted high I’m reaching for You
Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I
For You comfort me in sadness, give me strength to rise
Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I

(Chorus)

Bridge:
Set my feet upon it
Mold my dreams around it
Now that I have found it
Let it strengthen me

(Solo)

(Chorus) (2x)

He Is Holy

Written By: Words by Erin Martin, Music by Erin & Andrew Martin

Verse:
It is good to praise the Lord
And make music to Your name
To proclaim Your love and faithfulness
Rejoicing in your ways
For You make me glad, I'll sing for joy
At the work of Your hands
You are Alpha, Omega, Messiah,
Redeemer, the Great I Am

Chorus:
Come let us sing for joy to the Lord
Shout to the Rock of Ages
Come let us bow to Him in worship
Let us kneel before our maker
Singing, "The Lord reigns!"
Let the nations tremble
Praise his great and awesome name
For He is holy
He is holy

Outro:
He is holy, holy, holy
He is holy, holy, holy
He is holy, holy, holy
He is holy, holy, holy

Let It Go

Written By: Words by Erin Martin, Music by Erin & Andrew Martin

Verse 1:
Do you wake up from nights of restless sleep
With sweat, sweat just pouring down your cheek
Are you afraid of what the day might bring
Feeling hopeless and alone

Verse 2:
Do you fill up your days with busy scenes
Are you missing all that lives and breathes
While you weigh your worth in man-made things
Always afraid of the unknown

Pre-Chorus:
Where has it gotten you, look around
Your empty soul is crying out to be found

Chorus:
Let it go and let God in
You keep holding back from Him
He knows better
It's just whether or not you're ready to, you've gotta
Give it up and take a chance
You're already in His hands
He knows better
It's just whether or not you're ready to release

Verse 3:
Do you spend each day just getting by
Wishing you had control over your life
Are you holding on so tight you can't breathe
Feels like you'll never get relief

Bridge:
You let all your pain and pride get in the way
And worry and doubt and fear won't hesitate to take you over
Let God relieve the burdens and the weights that hold you down today
There's a better way

Ending:
Are you ready to live?

He has done glorious things
Tell all the world
He has done glorious things
