Biography

At 19 years old, Erin Unger is a singer/songwriter on the rise. After first picking up an acoustic guitar at the age of 14, she taught herself to play by watching countless
hours of YouTube videos. Inspired to find her own sound, Erin formed her first pop/rock band in high school, and developed a vibrant following around the Valencia, California area, under the band name "Stellar."

Determined to grow musically, Erin continued to write, and began posting original songs on her YouTube channel. It was there that she gained the attention of several LA bands who noticed her youthful sound and invited her to collaborate with them during studio sessions. Through networking, Erin met the producer for her solo project, Matt Nelson of Foreword Productions.

With the guidance of Matt, Erin recorded four of her original songs for an independent EP she titled "On My Own" as an ode to young women struggling to find their way.

After releasing her first song "Smile" in April of 2011, Erin was asked to open for American Idol alumni on individual show dates. Erin is currently finishing up her "On My Own" EP set to release on March 22nd, 2012. The EP is a blend of pop/rock/country music inspired by the sounds of such artists as Colbie Caillat, Michelle Branch, Miranda Lambert, and Lady Antebellum.
