Ermil Andrew Brown & the Best of Friends

Ermil Andrew Brown & the Best of Friends

We play music to honor the Lord, and we play skillfully. Each member is very a experienced musician, yet young enough to appeal to the next generation. The group is really nothing like what the Christian music scene has to offer, but that is where we belong and why we're marketable.

Ermil Andrew Brown is what my grandpa called me as a child... "Ermil Andrew Brown, he came to town, one leg up and a leg down." Every time he sang that little song, I felt so special, so loved. I chose that name for the band because it keeps me young at heart and because I want to pass on the legacy he gave to me. I want to make everyone I meet feel as special as he made me feel.

All of our influences are different, but come together to form a unique sound. My personal influences are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shephard, and other guitar greats. I know that comes through during live shows.

What sets us apart is our skill level. A lot of musicians making it now are doing it by learning a few chords and stumbling onto a song. We all are serious musicians and our lyrics are personal as well.

Music is my second love, always has been. To play and make music is what I was born to do. And I love to make people feel alive and special at shows. We try to involve the audience in unique ways.

As a band, we just finished our first full length album and are looking to get our stuff out there.

Set List

We usually stick pretty close to the songs on the album, but cover a wide variety of worship songs, to establish the right focus.
