""Escape Puts Pedal To The Metal""

For metal band Escape to Everything, it's all about overcoming adversity. Be it personal or mechanical breakdowns, this Boston outfit is using hardships to inspire its music. "We've been through a lot of crap," said singer Michael "Fred" Nota. "We're more pissed off now than ever. That's where we get our inspiration - from struggles in life." As Escape to Everything's main lyricist, Nota said he expresses his pent-up frustrations and emotions in his songs. "It works for everybody, but especially for 14- or 13-year-olds that are like, 'I have a crappy life,' " Nota said. "It's their way to escape. - Boston Herald Article (01/25/08)

We are a goofy group of guys from Boston with a love for hard rock and metal. Through the six years of being a band we've shared the stage with great national acts such as All That Remains, Killswitch Engaged, Shadows Fall, Alice in Chains, HED PE, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Powerman 5000, and also performed all over the country as a supporting act for Bobaflex. Some influences that helped us create our music are KORN, The Beatles, Sevendust, Soulfly, Cold, Bullet for my Valentine, 40 Below Summer, etc.
Our music is extremely energetic with heavy breakdowns but also with sing along type choruses. Our singer is the next Chester Bennington with a unique voice and a devilish scream, he'll make anyone want to start a moshpit. Our stage presence is definitly more unique than any band out there because we show our aggression and our goofy personaliyies while we play.
We formed this band on St. Patricks Day in 2004 and it has definitly been a rollercoaster ride. It took us at least four years to get members to permanently stay in this band. We've had to deal with band members coming and going because they didn't have the right attitude or they had their own demons to deal with. But now with a dedicated group of friends and bandmates, these hardships only made us stronger and more determined to be a successful band in the music industry.
