Esco

Dancehall, African, Hip Hop, Traditional Reggae, where can you get all this from one artist in one sound? The answer..Esco. While he represents Atlanta, he comes to us from Nigeria. His musical journey began as a junior choir member of his church. Then it unfolded into writing and performances. He began to perform his own reggae music at High Schools and Universities in Nigeria with overwhelmingly wonderful reviews. Once in Atlanta, he performed at bars and nightclubs, collaborating with local bands. It was at one of these performances he met and soon would team up with music producer Shomari Andrews (a.k.a Sha). It was with Sha that he became a producer and mastered his artistic sound. They wanted to work on music that was different then what was currently being done. They also wanted to do reggae and dancehall in a way that would be received by a broader audience. They found their own style of music : merging Reggae, Dancehall, Down South, African and Hip Hop. Reggae music has always been the genre of music that reached into the depths of EscoÂ’s soul and rose his spirits. While he listened to the likes of Bob Marley, his music inspiration came from Buju Banton. The passion that he brings lights up the stage. The drive, the fire, the determination that Esco brings tells anyone listening to his music that Esco is here to stay.
