Esoteric combines their unique brand of radio pop/rock with a high energy stage performance that has wowed audiences nationwide. Hailing from Brantford, Ontario, Esoteric features Greg Davis on vocals, James Nelson on electric guitar, Chris Vacher on acoustic guitar & keys, Mat Masters on bass and Dan Parkinson on drums. What began as an elementary school friendship has grown into a talented, high energy band focused on God and music.
Featuring original songs performed with passion and commitment, Esoteric has released two CDs, the debut CD This Is Us and the recent Only Eye Watching. In addition to the powerful musical style that characterizes each song, lyrically Esoterics songs deal with relevant day-to-day issues that listeners can relate to, always bringing one to the confidence that, ultimately, Christ is Lord over all. The band has met with chart success when their single Deep Inside Your Heart from Only Eye Watching became their first single to top a Canadian Christian radio chart. The band also placed first in the Toronto regional final of the 2002 Kingdom Bound Talent Search and was nominated for two 2002 CGMA Covenant Awards (Rock Album of the Year & Rock Song of the Year) and a 2003 Vibe Award (Rock Song of the Year).
Esoteric is a band committed to bringing their message to the culture of today, writing and playing music that lyrically and musically shows no compromise. They continue to perform extensively across Canada and are an ongoing World Vision Canada artist.
