Forming in 2009 E*STAR has worked tirelessly to create an urban pop sound that has never been heard! Lead vocalists and producer Steven Richard Banks began his musical career at the age of fourteen by playing the guitar. Influenced early by smooth jazz and rock n’ roll Steven began to produce beats for local artists in Flint, MI. As his musical aspirations and taste began to change he began to write music with artists such as N.E.R.D. and Gym Class Heroes in mind.

Steven has a history of musicians in his family as well. His father is a jazz drummer as well as several cousins who have bands of their own and one who is a drummer currently touring with George Clinton. Growing up in this family has given Steven an ear for music that he could not deny even when he wanted to. Giving up music in 2006 he began producing again in 2008 and writing more music.

Releasing several songs on internet sites such as YOUTUBE helped give E*STAR confidence knowing the sound was going in the right direction. As the songs continued to come E*STAR worked with several local artists to assist on tracks. Teaming up with fellow musicians Brett Cimbalik (Guitar) and Patrick Whitehead (Keyboard) to add to the stage show, they were later discovered by Gary Indiana indie label DIGITAL PITCH RECORDS.

Brett Cimbalik also known as “PLAN B” started piano lessons at an early age but didn't develop his own voice until he picked up the guitar at age 15. His personal style took shape when he experimented with effects to create sounds he had heard from the electronic nights in the early 00's. After playing in various bands in the southeastern Michigan music scene, he took his musical ambitions to new heights by building an electronic studio and began full-on production of electronic music. His sound comes to shine with his live performances creating notes that make you take a double look.

The yet untitled album is scheduled for release in the Spring of 2012 followed by a summer and fall of touring.
