Esteban Rojas, músico autodidacta, estaba componiendo y tocando canciones en dos grupos: Sabotage y Mute, junto con sus amigos Mauricio (guitarra), Alfredo (batería) y Aldo (bajo). Un día, después de jugar un género totalmente diferente en la banda Mute, Esteban se dio cuenta de que sus proyectos musicales y la composición lo llevaban a través de diferentes caminos artísticos en los que no había pensado mucho antes. Así, decide explorar el "rock alternativo" más fresco y se divierte con este nuevo sonido que nace. Con el tiempo, esto le lleva a un nuevo proyecto y graba sus nuevas canciones con otros músicos amigos bajo la producción de Alberto Ortiz.
Durante un tiempo, Esteban Rojas estuvo tocando en lugares diferentes, sin una banda estable oficial. En poco tiempo, hubo problemas consiguiendo la banda fija para las actuaciones. Es entonces cuando decidió acudir a sus amigos de toda la vida, con los que había tocado juntos desde 2001. Inmediatamente, Esteban supo que los nuevos músicos eran exactamente lo que la banda necesitaba, y así, en 2009, Estereovan nació.

Esteban Rojas, self-taught musician, had been a long while composing and playing songs in two bands: Sabotage and Mute, along with his friends Mauricio (guitar), Alfredo (drums) and Aldo (bass). One day, after playing a totally different genre in the band Mute, Esteban realized that his music projects and composition were taking him through different artistic paths which he hadn’t given much thought before. So, he decides to explore this fresh ‘alternative rock’ side and has fun with this new sounds that are being born. Eventually, this leads him to a whole new project and records his new songs with other musician friends under the production of Alberto Ortiz.
For a while, Esteban Rojas wondered around playing al different venues without an official steady band. Before long, there were troubles getting the band together for performances. This is when he decided to go up to his life time buddies, whom had played together since 2001, and ensemble the project soon to be called ‘Estereovan’. Immediately, Esteban knew that the new musicians were exactly what the band needed, and so, in 2009, Estereovan was born.
