Bio

Et tu Brutus is the veteran heavy metal band of Guyana’s rock scene, living proof that you are never too old to rock. The band was formed on the 6th September 1998, made up of four very passionate music lovers, with minimal knowledge of musical theory and instrument training. They taught themselves to play, using pots and pans and sticks and hand me down guitars missing strings, listening to some of their favourite albums played over and over on a worn-out cassette player.

The name Et tu Brutus is a testament to their heavy stripped-down style that has evolved into something unique over the years.  They are heavily influenced by bands like Iron Maiden, Sepultura, Manowar and in more recent times Rotting Christ and Dissection.

This sound has taken them to shores of South America and the Caribbean, playing almost 120 shows locally and 7 international shows, with Brazil being their second home and Suriname coming a close third.

They have completed three albums – Poison, Trippin’ At The Side (Live) and From The Dust and one single Far Removed From The Scene.

Et tu Brutus is made up of five members – Roger Gordon (drums), Roger Deygoo (vocals), Kurt Kerrett (rhythm guitar), Vanderson Alencar (lead guitar) and Rory Rambarran (bass guitar).
