"ETHAN & THE IMAGINARY FRIENDS – A Light Tree (in the Key of C)"

"At times it is a maddened, surreal experience bordering on insanity and at other times it has concrete figures, places, objects. In this (a) mixture of the dream-like and the reality...And it is exactly this mix between reality and surreality that makes 'A Light Tree' work so well."

Bio

Ethan is a songwriter from Ohio, he plays with the Imaginary Friends. The Imaginary Friends are a group of excited Earthlings based out of Athens, Ohio who play folk rock music to make people happy, thoughtful, or whatever they feel like being at the time they hear it. The real friends that play with Ethan involve the permanent members of Fredrick Tressler on percussion/drums and Dillion McAtee on the ukulele, banjo, vocals, and guitar. The band has had experience playing in many different enviroments and have performed in most of the midwest tri-state area of Ohio, Illionios, and Indiana. Together Ethan and the Imaginary Friends spread joy and sorrow, song and celebration with progressive folk sounds of modern beats, mind-blowing lyrics, classic banjo, soulful vocals, rhythmic guitar, and psychedelic ukulele. The Friends enter a genre of their own by incorporating new songs and new band members at every show that adds to the diversity of the sound. The showmanship of each band member is mysterious and entertaining. One show may have a fiddle, and another the bongos, trumpet, stage light tree or stand-up bass. The Imaginary Friends never cease to surprise anyone with their folked up psychedelic music. They want to feed your Head and your Heart the gifts that keep on giving, LOVE and the true POWER that comes with it. On the way back from the wastelands of selfishness and the shackles of fear, come the wordless inspiration every soul feels. And the words that grow from air, "You Are Not Alone, Let's Be Friends!"
