Ethan Broadbent

Ethan Broadbent is a 20 year old hard rock/metal musician/composer from Broome W.A. From an early age he has been exposed to music from learning guitar at age six and performing high school bands where he also learnt to play drums. High school was also where he began composing and recording his own songs, producing and playing all instruments.

Leaving school Ethan teamed up with fellow musicians K.T. Alsop and Nicolas Eastwood to form a pub-rock cover band called The Second Injectives playing Drums. The Second Injectives played local shows at the Satay Hut and the Broome Turf Club as well as completing a 10 day tour around the Kimberly playing at Pubs, restaurants, and communities. Enrolling at TAFE in 2009 he also continued on with his compositions by recording a demo Acts Of Slaughter which then inspired him to purchase his own recording equipment with which he then used to produce several demos which can be found on his Facebook, Reverb Nation, and Myspace.

Outside of Tafe Ethan collaborated with some local musicians to start a Hard Rock group called Social Hand Grenade which he helped write two demos Trashed and Power Vacuum, the first also available on his Facebook. Though the band existed for just over a year the band endured several different line up changes which involved Ethan moving from drums to lead, then back to drums, for their first and only gig at a 30th birthday party.
Currently Ethan has returned to Tafe to complete his diploma in music throughout the remainder of 2011. Ethan plans to move to Perth in January 2012 and hopes to immerse himself in the local scene and get him music out.

Ethan is also currently negotiating some synch opportunities for his demos to be used in the media.
