Ethel and the Mermen are a Toronto based three-piece garage, pop, rock band, playing originals and a few unique covers. The members are Tanya Read (bass, vocals), Scott Carruthers (drums, vocals) and Danny Bowden (guitar, vocals). They have been entertaining audiences with their stripped down, energetic sound and lively, humorous stage show since 2006. They have played many venues and festivals in Toronto, North Bay, St. Catherines, including the Cameron House, Cadillac Lounge, Silver Dollar, Harbourfront Centre and the Big on Bloor Festival.
