"The Perfect Prelude"

R&B Hip Hop Rockstar offers the perfect Prelude

“E”, one of Washington DC's hottest rising stars has a brand new release to rock the world with. The Prelude Chronicles Mixtape is a delicious taster of what’s to come from this dynamic new talent, an R&B Hip-Hop Rockstar for the 21st century.

“E” previews his new sounds at a special performance party at the Avenue Nightclub, Washington DC on March 28.

The new release is a mixtape version of his forthcoming debut album, The Prelude. With a unique style all of his own, mature and sexy, “E” is fulfilling his incredible potential. While there is definitely a raunchy groove to his music, it will appeal to teenagers and adults alike, thanks to smooth-as-silk hooks and melodies that just make you want to take to the dance floor.

Tracks such as 'Could I', 'Down 4 Hers' and 'Like That', are examples of “E” utilizing production from some of his favorite producers, while other tracks are his own original take on some of the most popular tracks around today. Not that there isn't any of his own material – there's plenty of that, and pretty fine it is too.

He says of the Mixtape project: "I'm very proud to be able to present this offering to my fans, giving them a taste of what's to come when the official debut comes out.

"I feel that The Prelude Chronicles Mixtape will appeal to everyone who's a fan of great music and lyrics. I'm passionate about connecting with my audience whether it's recording or performing – the audience is there to be entertained on every level."

“E” cites a diverse array of influences on his new album. Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Prince, Mint Condition, D'Angelo, R.Kelly, Mary J. Blige and Lauryn Hill are all inspirations for his R&B vocal style, Hip-Hop cool and Rockstar swagger.

A native of West Philadelphia, “E” has won awards at the Urban Independent Music Awards two years running, winning DJ of the Year in 2004, and R&B Artist of the Year in 2005. Current hits 'Like That' and 'Could I' are on rotation on JAM FM, Germany's premier urban radio station, and 'Like That' is receiving play on the UK internet radio station Vogue FM.

He knew his future lay in music when he first saw a video of Michael Jackson with the Jackson Five when he was a child. His aunt and mother then did everything possible for him, such as buying instruments, driving to band rehearsals, signing him up to school choruses, and ceaselessly encouraging his precocious gift.

Their hopes for him have been realized, as “E” is now a relentless talent: a songwriter and producer igniting the music industry.

The Prelude Chronicles Mixtape is a tantalizing glimpse of The Prelude – both works of astonishing originality.

The R&B Hip-Hop Rockstar Official Mixtape Concert and Afterparty takes place at The Avenue on March 28, and also features other rising stars from the DC area. More information can be found at www.rnbhiphoprockstar.com.

"Who's Next"

E,...The R&B HipHop Rockstar manages to pull it all together in this latest release The Prelude Chronicles Mixtape.

E has a sound that's edgy but smooth and mellow ...something you can put in the CD deck and chill to on the drive home.

You could even put this one on when you're with your lady, yeah its that tight.

E is no stranger to the game He's been grinding it out for a minute with the infamous Phat Cats Entertainment family.

Not just a R&B dude, E really gives a hot on-stage performance as well.

Known for his DJ skillz, E is definitely a recognizable figure throughout the diamond District. He's a professional when it comes to the music.

Tracks on the CD that seem to stand out are Like That and Down 4 Hers. If I had to compare his sound to mainstream artists I would say Robin Thicke/ Montell Jordan.

I actually like E's sound,...if you in the mood for laid back feel good music then you gotta cop the new release from E The R&B HipHop Rockstar - DC Music and Models

Bio

A native West Philadelphian is the R&B/HIP HOP ROCKSTAR and proud recipient of the UIMA (Urban Independent Music Awards) for two consecutive years. The first honor was awarded in 2004 for "DJ of the year" and the second in 2005 for "R&B Artist of the year", and most recently in 2007 "E" has taken the top spot in the R&B category in the highly respected industry showcase "Faces in the Crowd" in his hometown of Philadelphia. "E" adorns the DC metro area with his relentless talent and multifaceted ensemble roles that resounds his presence as a breakout star. His career was well placed as he ignited in the music industry as a seasoned performer, singer/songwriter, self taught musician and producer. In acknowledgement to his skills, he gives tribute to his influences such as Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Prince, Mint Condition, D'Angelo, R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige, and Lauryn Hill. When asked how he could be an element of inspiration to the music industry, he gracefully smiled and said that he was here to help elevate the already wonderful state of R&B music and is bidding for his voice to be heard. Born into a musically talented family, (his aunt and mother) are undeniable testaments that he is no stranger to capturing any crowd and that his decision to become an entertainer was without question. While his role as a DJ bolted like lighting as he spun at major hot spots in DC and while rocking the "wheels of steel" for the Latin Hip-Hop powerhouse known as CRISTOPOLIS, E's effortless transition into songwriting and R&B performances lead him to share the stage with the national recording artist "Musiq Soulchild", Russell Simmons new sensation "Blac Buddafly" Avant, Marsha Ambrosius (formerly of Floetry) and "Styles P" just to name a few. While performing in countless major showcases as well as establishing his own platforms with management company Phat Cats entertainment LLC, he graces audiences with intoxicating doses of R&B vocals, his driving force of HIP-HOP smoothed with a swagger and the performance energy of a ROCKSTAR. He illuminates with devotion when he describes his conviction while out on stage as a do or die situation. He proclaims, "I love the feeling I get when I'm out on stage. Since I am a new artist on the rise, the audience looks at me with expectations to be impressed, and I just go out there and give my all to every performance because I want that crowd to remember who I am long after I've left the stage." In addition to the triumphs of the early superstar, he is also wrapping up production on his highly anticipated debut album entitled The Prelude. The album contains all mega hits and one of the featured songs entitled Speechless gained national exposure accredited with E as he was a guest on the new dating reality show "Get the Hook Up". The Prelude features productions from some of the metro area's hottest up and coming producers: Romeo Jade (FaceMen Productions), Dante Richmond (Golden Boy Entertainment), Jewels (Sunz of Soul/Infinite Soul Music LLC)., and the new phenomenon from Virginia, Max Methods (Street Star Studios). E has already performed several tracks live and the response from the audience has been incredible. He rejoices that it has been a wonderful testing ground for him and it just increased his excitement to release this for all the fans that he has gained while promoting the project. He is a scorching new enticement that's indisputably ready to take the music industry by storm, so get ready world for THE R&B/HIP-HOP ROCKSTAR "E"!
