Ethereal Spectrum

Ethereal Spectrum is an instrumental group lead by Rockstar Flutist, Sarah Jane Hargis. The group is formed to fuse popular, rock, jazz, electronic music and improvisation into an exciting blend of ambient grooves that has been described as adventurous and playful, melodically purifying and a melting pot of goodness.

In the winter of 2009, Sarah Jane decided to explore combining electronics and effect pedals with the classical western flute. She created the first album with Daniel Wilson on guitar and bass and Julio Figueroa on percussion and electronics. Now, Sarah Jane has brought in John Best on percussion and electronics, Chris Mosely on guitar and Mario Castellanos on bass to challenge new dimensions of sounds and soundscapes. Ethereal Spectrum has performed in many popular venues throughout Austin, Texas, and are now expanding short tours into New Mexico, Louisiana and California.

Sarah Jane, has been performing improvisational music for the last eighteen years. Her adventurous spirit continues to take her to new realms of sonic exploration through the use of flute and electronics.

Ethereal Spectrums eclectic repertoire includes timeless jazz and pop standards, infused with their individual voices, and crafted into unique interpretations.
