Ethnic Roots are a Reggae band,with huge focus on writing there own original music drawing from some 35 + years of experience within the music industry.
History
The band was setup with five members 2009 Spider Tekira his two sons Garth & Judah ,Mahuta Waite & Percy Robinson. They all have strong links with the Ngati Porou Tribe (Gisborne/East Coast). Percy Robinson who played a major role with building its identity & its strong work ethics through his past experiences within the music scene both nationally & internationally helped the band to focus & set goals both personally & for Ethnic Roots. Percy & Mahuta leaving the band in 2010 left room for Paora Anderson & Tawi Rutherford who also bring a huge background of experience to Ethnic Roots.
Goals
The crew are working hard at releasing a single before xmas 2011 with a 12 track album (all original tracks) early 2012
