Bio

Eugenia was born Dec. 27, 1979 in Frankfurt, Germany to military parents. Her love of music began at a very tender age when her parents would play Jazz and Motown favorites to soothe her. She moved to Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 2 and at age 6 joined the church choir. Growing up she was always fascinated with the sounds of the Motown era and would sing songs from Diana Ross and The Supremes with her mother. At age 8 she tackled her first song, a Whitney Houston classic, "I believe the Children Our Future". She joined school choirs, honor choirs, and continued to sing at home. In the 1990's she fell in love with the group Boyz II Men and would spend hours learning the harmonies and melodies of the group. She auditioned for many choirs and vocal competitions in high school and slowly made her mark on the choirs. In college she was a contestant in the Miss Black CU Pageant where she sang "If I Could" by Regina Belle and received a standing ovation. She moved to Los Angeles, Ca in 2003 in hopes of finding an avenue for her music. She worked at E2 Music Works which is a subsidiary of Edmonds Entertainment and would sit in on recording and writing sessions. She showcased her talents at various venues. She moved back to Lawton in 2007 with a fresh look and new ideas to bring her dreams to reality. She is still very fond of the Motown era and looks to that era for ideas and ways to bring them into modern music. She feels that the foundation that was created by the artists is a foundation that should not be lost. Her style is all her own. She uses various melodies and harmonies and true to life lyrics to bring her point across. She constantly pushes herself to the limit to reach new heights with her voice.
