Biography

Have your dreams been shattered and you feel that no one cares? Jesus cares. Are you discouraged, troubled, feel like you're in the valley of despair? Like the song says , "There's Beauty in the Valley." Remember, God is with you every step of the way and He often uses your hard times and trials to bring you closer to Him.

Take some time to draw near to God as you listen to "Back to the Cross". Go back to Calvary where Jesus hung on the cross for YOU. Where His Father in heaven turned His face from Him (because He took your sin upon Himself). While Jesus was dyeing, He had you on His mind. Only Jesus can bring you the peace "that passes all understanding" in your time of trouble.

Call on Him! Find pure delight in worshipping Christ for who He is.....just like the song "In Who You Are" claims! He's listening day and night to hear you call on Him. Yes, Jesus is waiting at the right hand of God,for you. All you need to do is ask.

Lyrics

Yes, I Believe

Written By: Eva C. Crowder

Verse One:
When you see the heavens above
And stand in awe at the mountains around you,
And you gaze at the deeps of the sea
How can you say that you don't believe?
That you don't believe?

When a new morning has dawned
And night gives way to the rising sun,
And you wake in good health and peace,
How can you say that you don't believe,
That you don't believe?

(Chorus)

Verse Two:
One sweet day God's trumpet will sound.
And we will rise up to meet the Son.
But you will stand gazing helplessly,
Then you will say, "Oh now I believe.
Oh, now I believe."

Chorus:
Oh, Yes, I believe! [2x --Oh, sinner don't wait]
Just look around you and you'll see...
No love would be felt,
No souls would be freed
If God were not real.
No life would be breathed,
No sickness relieved
If He were not here.
Oh, yes, I believe!
Oh, yes, I believe!
Oh, yes, I believe!

To Know You

Written By: Eva C. Crowder

Verse One:
I long to know you;
To really know you
So well that nothing else stands between us;
Only the blood of my Jesus.
This is my earnest plea;
To know you more intimately;
So close your presence floods each passing thought,
Leaving no room for other gods.

Chorus:
To know you more,
Heavenly Father.
To know you more
Than friend or brother.
Although I'll never fully comprehend,
I long to know you more.

Verse Two:
I long to know you;
To truly know you;
To rise each day with your words on my heart;
Learning to trust you from the start.
This is my fervent prayer;
To become more keenly aware
Of the depths of your love and holiness;
Growing in truth and righteousness.

(Chorus)

Bridge:
Open my heart to
Receive your higher ways.
Draw me close, draw me near to your altar.
Draw me close, let me hear you, Father.
Draw me close, hold my hand so I won't falter
In my search to understand you better;
To know you better.

(Chorus)

Redeem The Time

Written By: Eva C. Crowder

Verse One:
The sunlight is fading, the pathway seems long.
You've labored for hours now your strength is gone.
But out in the darkness a soul searches on
For someone to lead him along.

Chorus:
Redeem the time!
Redeem the time!
Don't waste another day.
Precious souls are dying with no one to lead the way.
Go bear your cross
To save the lost
And teach them how to pray.
While you still have today,
Redeem the time!

Verse Two:
The nightfall surrounds him, all hope is lost;
No glimmer of light to illumine the cross.
Is this where you leave him; to suffer much loss,
Or will you start counting the cost?

(Chorus)

Bridge:
You are the salt;
You are the light;
You have been called
To win souls for Christ.
Be bold for the sake of the lost!

(Chorus)

Ending:
While you still have today,
Redeem the time!
Before you lose today,
Redeem the time!

Back to the Cross

Written By: Eva C. Crowder

Verse One:
When I find myself down and discouraged
In this spiritual race that I am in;
When I have no zeal, desire, or courage,
Or care whether or not I even win,
I go back (I go back) . . .
I go back (I go back) . . .

Chorus:
Back to the cross (I go)
Back to the cross (where I know)
Hangs the epitome of pain and sorrow.
Back to the cross (I go)
Back to the cross (where I know)
Springs forth new hope and strength for tomorrow.
When I think that I have too much to bear
The Spirit leads me back to the cross.

Verse Two:
When my hopes and dreams have all been shattered,
And it seems there is no reason to live;
When I start to think it no longer matters
Whether I have a willingness to give,
I go back (I go back) . . .
I go back (I go back) . . .

(Chorus)

Ending:
Back to Jesus dying on a tree
In loneliness and grief.
When I think that I have too much to bear
The Spirit leads me back to the cross.
