Bio

Evangeline Inman is an ordained minister, author, award winning - songwriter and recording artist who makes her home on the East Coast of Canada. She is married to Dr. Mark Inman and they minister together in the worship group, 4Given. They have two children, Marquelle, who is a featured soloist on Evangeline’s latest recording project and their son, Jared, who is their treasure in heaven. She is the founder and president of Women Who Worship Conferences. One of Evangeline’s greatest passions is songwriting. She is dedicated to the study of God’s word and to teaching His principles through the songs that she writes. Evangeline was born in California and was involved in several live recordings while living there. She toured extensively throughout the US and Canada during her teens and early twenties.

Evangeline along with her husband, Mark, and Darlene Lemmon are all members of the worship group, 4Given, which was the recipient of the 2008 “Inspirational Album of the Year” Covenant Award from GMA Canada. (Canadian equivalent to the Dove Awards) She received another Covenant Award in 2008 for a song she co-wrote; I Will Give You All The Praise. Evangeline was awarded the 2007 Covenant Award for “Inspirational Album of the Year” for her solo CD release “Free to Worship.” The title track, Free to Worship, was a bonus featured track on an Integrity/CMC compilation “Maximum Worship” featuring the top 25 worship songs in Canada for 2007. The title track was also featured on the CMC “Sea to Sea” compilation released in October 2007. Another track, Have Your Way, was chosen for the Song Discovery compilation Nov-Dec 2007 issue and was featured in The Worship Leader’s Magazine for the same issue. It was nominated for “Independent Song of the Year” by the Worship Leader Magazine and Song Discovery.

Her newest release “Evangeline Inman & Women Who Worship” features the Praise Team from the Women Who Worship conferences as well as several of the soloists who have been featured through the years. Her ninth recording was once again recorded in Franklin, TN at Sunset Studios. She was a privileged to work with such gifted musicians as, Jason Webb, David Cleveland, Steve Brewster & Mark Hill. Their talents took her songs to a higher level.

Evangeline made her first solo recording in 1990. She took a break from recording after the birth of her two children. In 1999 she went through one of the most difficult and painful experiences in her life when her three year old son, Jared, went to be with the Lord. In the midst of heartbreaking sorrow she came to know the Lord in a way that she had always heard about but had never experienced. Evangeline came to know the God of all comfort. Though she had served Him her entire life, she experienced for herself that God would walk with you through the valley of the shadow of death. In the months and years of grief that followed, she felt the comfort of the Holy Spirit in a tangible way. Many of her songs are written to encourage those who are hurting.

In 2001 she co-produced, directed, and contributed as a soloist and songwriter for the Smythe Street Choir recording, “I reach out to You” which was an original song written by her. In 2004 she produced the recording “4Given” which is a gospel worship group that she is a part of. On this album she was featured as a soloist and also was one of the contributing songwriters. Both of the recordings received airplay. In 2005 she recorded a solo CD “Angels in the House” which was nominated for an ECMA Award. In 2006 she recorded with the group 4Given, their award winning album “We Look to You” and co-wrote the title track for that recording. “Prayer Companion” was recorded in that same year. In 2007 she recorded another award winning solo album, Free to Worship. In 2008 she recorded, Fountain of Life, with 4Given. In 2009 she recorded, Evangeline Inman & Women Who Worship.
