Evan Roberts

Evan Roberts, born in Houston, TX , raised in Indianapolis, IN is the youngest of three raised by his single mother. Evan grew to love music as he would watch and imitate every music video that he could. Evan was the first freshman in his high school’s history to make 3 choirs including the an upper tiered ground called “The Counterpoints”. Electing not to further his education Evan moved to Orlando, FL in 2006 where he would meet his now manager Johnny Wright and assistant Darla Blanchard. Evan soon began writing for various artists in his search to finding his sound, honing his skills and possibly becoming one himself. The first song he co-wrote and apeared on was titled “SWEETEST TABOO” feat Mikkey Halsted which was aptly titled as it refers to a ‘special’ someone with references relating to the song’s title. It was released in March 2009 on the "TRUE TO THE GAME" compilation album, which is a dedication to the Negro League Baseball foundation with all of the proceeds benefiting a Negro League Baseball Museum. Shortly there after, a chance meeting with Evan’s lawyer Michael Katz in a local movie theatre would prove to be one of his best in his early career. This meeting would lead him upon his lawyer’s recommendation to the Orlando based production duo ODDZ.N.ENDZ. According to Evan “When I met ODDZ.N.ENDZ it was an instant chemistry from the start, we wrote everyday & chilled like we were long lost friends”. Within 6 months of them working together, Evan successfully co-wrote and was featured as a background vocalist on the ODDZ.N.ENDZ produced top 20 crossover smash for BIRDMAN FT. JAY SEAN “WRITTEN ON HER” . Since then thru their relationship, Evan conveyed to them his newly found working recording partnership with up coming producer Matt “STARKILLER” Walker (who he met through chance meeting on Craigslist lol) and that they had created what they called an “infusion of Rock & RnB” . After listening, ODDZ.N.ENDZ quickly signed Evan & STARKILLER to their new formed imprint ANOTHA ONE RECORDS. With doing so they have officially released Evan’s debut EP entitled “OUTTA HEAR”, which thus far has received highly praised reviews (see djbooth.net, search EVAN ROBERTS for full review). They have released a video for the lead single of the project entitled “Golden”. An ode to that certain “someone” who Evan feels is “Golden” no pun intended lol. Evan and STARKILLER have formed a band and have begun touring through various dates and cities throughout the South and Midwest. Evan is constantly working, whether it be on major placements thru writing and production with ODDZ.N.ENDZ, or thru his own work with STARKILLER, you can be sure EVAN ROBERTS will be a name you will definitely be hearing more of.
