Evarocitta

Inspired by artist such as Etta James, Jennifer Holliday and Patti Labelle, Evarocitta began writing and singing at the age of seven. Amazed by her gifts and talents, her mother encouraged her to pursue her passion for music.

In 1999, her unique but strong vocals caught the attention of Kurt ‘KC’ Clayton, Music Director for Howard Hewitt of Shalamar.

Since then, Evarocitta has performed locally and internationally, working with artists such as Howard Hewitt, Phil Perry, Patti LaBelle, Al Green, Isaac Hayes, Tina Marie, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary and many others. She also had the pleasure of rendering music at the wedding of Actress Lisa Raye to Chief Minister Michael Misick.

Possessing the ability to completely captivate audiences with her edgy stage presence, Evarocitta is an artist fiercely proud of her Southern roots, but also capable of crossing artistic borders by fusing that cultural sound with universal music elements. Her signature sound is a sexy mix of Pop and R&B with catchy hooks and clever lyrics.

It is exactly that career-self portrait of Southern rhythmic roots and her instinctive understanding of rhythm, passion for performing, willingness to take creative risks and natural charisma which has led Evarocitta down a musical path of artistry and superstardom. Most recently, Evarocitta has had the pleasure to perform before over 5,000 people at the Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club National Convention. Currently, she is in the process of releasing her debut music singles, “Hey Hey Hey.” and "Blah Blah Blah".
