EVAROSE – CREATION DIVIDE
Oxford based pop-rockers Evarose will release their hotly anticipated debut 'Creation Divide' on the 18th October 2010.
Formerly known as Harlequinn Girls, the fresh-faced quartet (whose combined age is just eighty years old) already boast an impressive CV, performing in front of almost 15,000 people at the 2009 Fairport Convention Festival and establishing themselves as a leading light in a famous Oxford music scene previously dominated by Y chromosomes. Consisting of Dannika Webber (Vocals), Imogen Leslie (Guitars), Connie Raitt (Bass) and Robyn Griffith (Drums), 2010 sees the group coupling a new name with a fresh musical approach; one that looks beyond mere city lines and sees them preparing to take the United Kingdom and beyond by storm.
Recorded at Wrapped Up Music Studios with Producers Antony Smith and Pedro Teixeira 'Creation Divide' is not merely an EP but rather a coming of age; a unified statement of intent that signifies the quartet's growth as people as well as artists. Meticulously crafted and boasting more hooks than a fisherman's tackle box, the EP succeeds in packing more ideas and infectious energy in less than 20 minutes than some bands manage in hundreds, shifting seamlessly between punk-laden beats, jarring riffs and sublime vocal melodies - delivered with a quality that defies their tender years.
